Christian Smith grew up in Cottonwood, Utah with his parents and seven siblings. After graduating from Cottonwood High School, Christian served as a missionary in Johannesburg South Africa for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Upon returning home from his mission, Christian married Kellene Harmer Smith. Together they have four children and two grandchildren.
Christian attended the University of Utah and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduating from the U, he worked for several years as a Salesman in the Medical Equipment and Device industry for a variety of companies. During this time, Christian was also battling with personal and emotional pains which were masked with drug and alcohol abuse. His struggle with addiction went on for over 25 years. Christian has now been sober since February 2010.
In 2010, with a new purpose in life, Christian began his career in the addiction recovery industry. While the majority of this time has been in Sales and Marketing for residential treatment centers, he also has experience as a House Parent, Psych Tech, and leading educational groups. After working for four treatment centers, Christian felt inspired to start his own treatment center where he could help others find success in recovery in his own way. With his two sons as his business partners, Inspire Addiction Recovery was born.
